Kopi is ok ok. Have to add 40 cents to change from Kopi to a 'C' version for my set. That is quite a lot. Kaya bread also ok ok. But the stall banner is nice. Pinkish with a little pavilion icon in bright red umbrella shaped roof theme.
Me and my two sketches in Clover cafe along Syed Alwi Road.
After lunch and seeing that it was going to rain soon, I went into a nice cosy cafe called 'Clover' which I spotted while sketching the shophouses earlier on to chill out. Bought a cup cappuccino and finished off with the cafe sketch. Nice coffee by the way. Not crowded too.
The final sketch was quite an incidental one. The rain turned into a mini storm and I was stuck. I then had an idea to sketch on a parking coupon entirely with a brush. The waiter & waitresses are my audiences. One was rewarded with my permission to take a photo of the cafe sketch to show it to her boss. :)
Second stop before lunch, a panorama attempt at the shop houses along Syed Alwi Road. I have a student walking pass me and watched me sketch for quite a while. Then closed to finishing my audiences were a group of construction workers who happened to settle at the same location as me for their afternoon nap.
Breakfast in Berseh Food Centre at stall no. 43. Nice little well renovated coffee stall that looks a little like Ya Kun. Coffee, eggs and bread are nice.
My breakfast set / sketch - 3.12.12. Overhead the staffs over the counter say I am a teacher from the nearby art school. Now sketching on his own... Haha. Funny.
Sent my to work on 26 November morning in Raffles Place and decided to do a sketch walk starting from my breakfast in Hong Lim Market & Food Centre. This is a nice traditional coffee stall called 'Dong Seng'.
